The contact owns a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz. Once the vehicle was started, the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing and the idler pulley and belt were replaced. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 14V415000 (engine and engine cooling: Engine); however, the parts needed for the repair were unavailable. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 94,000.
