The contact owns a 2021 Hyundai Venue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, he made a left turn, and the steering wheel became firm and difficult to maneuver. The contact then stated that the electronic power steering warning light and the safety and steering features warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to navigate the vehicle off the road safely. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the ECU (Electronic Control Module) failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not yet been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.
The ignition failed me as a customer. Vehicle was stolen outside my residence. No keys were left in vehicle. This is very dangerous and high risk especially due to rise in crime rates of car jacking. My vehicle has been recovered and in the dealership collision center since March 30, 2023. My vehicle has never been in any accidents, with the exception of this thief. Not quite sure of the outcome of the manufacture, highway traffic center nor dealership. The information that I-??ve gathered is a lot of Hyundai and Kia vehicles are being stolen due to a leaked video on how to steal these brand of cars, which is terrible for buyers and owners. Please address these concerns, issues and unsettling problems for your customer safety.
