Cars fans started kicking on and so I decided to pop the hood open to check the fluids. The coolant reservoir was empty! No visible leaks on the ground, the engine looked dry and when I checked the cap it didn’t look like there was any mixing. We topped off the coolant and the car went in for body work and we got the car back a couple days ago.
Now on February 18th, 2024 I popped the hood again because I just wanted to make sure it was still full.
Anyway, it was empty. AGAIN.
The car has just over 28-29,000 miles on it (46-47,000 km).
I’m going to take it the dealership ASAP and hopefully it’s something like a cracked hose or something. It’s scary because it’s not the first time we’ve had it in the shop.
We took it in a few months or so ago and the dealership said the coolant was low then too. There isn’t a puddle and there isn’t even any leaks that I can see when I look. It has to be going somewhere.
The check engine light is ON and the outdoor temperature reading is reading as ‘- - -‘ and blinking.
Up til recently it’s been a sturdy and comfortable car.
I’m going to post another complaint about the steering assist too.
