Hyundai says a grinding transmission when reversing in a Veloster is "characteristic of the vehicle". It didn't start until the car had over 3,000 miles on it and had I been told it would start grinding when I bought it I would have looked elsewhere. Now I read story after story about Veloster transmission failures and anxiously await being stranded. I will never buy another Hyundai.
