The ABS, ! Brake and Auto Hold lights activated. I took in into the Hyundai Joplin, MO dealership on May 2, 2024. They could not find any thrown codes and suggested it was most likely the "IEB Module" which they replaced and after doing so, the warning lights remained activated. As of May 22, 2024, they are ordering a new IEB Module to install (backordered into June). This seems oddly similar to previous ABS and brake problems of earlier models and makes me feel uneasy with the safety of this vehicle should they ever get it remedied.

While driving 35mph on a 3-lane street in the far left lane, a driver of a Ford F-150 was in the center lane about two car lengths ahead, decided to make a right turn onto a residential street (as if he were driving a semi). As I got closer, the forward collision warning suddenly alerted and immediately initiated emergency braking system causing all 3 passengers to be thrown forward. I hit the steering wheel before seat belt caught me. I was not even within distance and he was turning in opposite direction of my lane. There also seems to be sensitivity issues with lane keeping feature as in Phoenix, there are never ending freeway construction with make-shift lanes not always marked well. On several occasions the steering wheel was jerked out of my hands because it couldn-??t detect the lanes any longer. It has caused me to avoid freeways all together and has made me miss the exit off the freeway twice now. I thought this feature only activated during active cruise control, but apparently it does it regardless. Now I-??m beginning to have problems with display going out at the worst times. I will be taking my Tucson to a dealer to have them deactivate both systems & advise of display. I shouldn-??t have to pay for this. I-??ll take over the driving, thank you very much!

On multiple occasions, my new Hyundai Tucson randomly deployed emergency brakes while traveling on highway. This created a dangerous condition as my vehicle started braking without reason which prompted vehicle following my vehicle to slam on their brakes.

New 2023 Hyundai Tucson purchased 9/9/2023 from Curry Hyundai in Cortland NY. On several instances of highway driving during the first 1,000 miles, on highways and at highway speeds, the forward collision avoidance system activated without any reason and applied the brakes at highway speed. This happened 6 or more times in only 6 or 7 highway trips during the 1,000 break-in period, and happened after the first visit to service for this problem, during which the dealer reset the system and sent me on my way, only to leave me driving a vehicle with the same, continuing defect. After the third service attempt, dealer and Hyundai have been unable to repair the vehicle (now with the dealer for over a week). Hyundai fails to even acknowledge its warranty or any other obligations to me, and all its communications show that it doesn't take these problems seriously, it has no standard process for dealing with them, and it offers basically nothing to the frustrated car owner. All its "customer care" department has done is check with the dealer, only to leave the problem with me for an unlimited timeframe.

I was driving on the highway at 60/70 mph and there was nothing in front of my car. The brakes went on for a second stopping the car abruptly and I swerved. This happened once more. It then happened another time on a turn as I tried to regain control of the car it swerved from side to side and almost got into an accident or spun out.

I leased this SUV 12/22/2023, upon driving it on 12/26 as i exited a major highway, leaving highway amd entering exit ramp the SUV lost brake funcrion as well as transmission function, absolute total loss of both brake and transmission systems, miraculously I was able to coast to safty with assistance from another motorist holding the car from rolling furthermore, needless to say this was a harrowing and dangerously close to a tragic accident due to this compmete failure of brake and transmission simultaneously failing, i had to incur a costly towing fee and also completely uninformed as to what the root/cause of problem was as well as any timeframe of repair, as of the time of myself writing this message and thirty plus days later, I have recieved ZERO cooperation and even outwardly standoffish behavior towards myself, my hisband and my personal leasing agent, I am very concerned of the loaner car becoming a financial burden as my husband was forced to basically suffer rentL vetting and credit card deposit protocols upon paying for and delivering the damaged SUV, we have for weeks tried to ascertain any information on the extent and cause of damage to leased SUV as we are NOT INTRESTED in recieving original damaged because we are FEARFUL of our safety as we are STILL uninformed as of 1/31/2023 PLEASE NOTE LOCAL POLICE WERE ON THE SCENE AND CONFIRMED TOTAL BREAKDOWN STATUs/TOW NEEDED STATUS

Vehicle was purchased new from local Hyundai dealership in Dubuque, IA on November 17, 2022 and delivered November 22nd. Vehicle had just under 200 miles on odometer. Brake system was working well at that time. On January 21, 2023 I stopped for a red light. After a few seconds the brake pedal started going down and went completely down. Mileage at that time was just over 1700 miles. I took the car into the dealership on January 23rd and they checked the system and said that it was normal. The shop supervisor said that it was not a problem that when the pedal went down it was applying more pressure to the brake system. I disagreed with them as this is usually the fault of master cylinder seals leaking. They brought a newer vehicle into the shop and it had the same problem so no repairs were made. I believe this is an accident waiting to happen and I would like to have the problem corrected. This appears to be a problem with Hyundai vehicles. Our vehicle is a Hyundai Tucson.
