This has occurred six times now. The dealer can’t seem to figure it out. They have it again trying to reenact the problem. It’s terrifying to have your car brake while going 75 miles down the highway.
Set the forward collision warning to "early". Never once has it worked even when someone pulled out in front of me and I almost hit them: the car kept driving and didn't recognize the car in front. I slammed on the brakes and avoided a crash. I took it to the dealer, told them what happened, and they said they would take a look. Got a call from the dealer saying they couldn't find anything wrong and to come pick the car up.
Get the keys from the cashier and go out to the car only to find a scanned copy of the forward collision feature in owners manual, highlighted on the "how to set up" part - are you kidding? Do you think I'm that dense that I wouldn't have already read that? Feature still doesn't work and I just gave up. Sad that you buy a brand new car expecting to use the safety features and they don't even work and the dealer basically tells you that you're stupid.
