Not the first time this has happened either. The sunroof was slow closing, until it acted like there was something in the way and re-opened fully. I cleared the tracks and tried again - no luck. I tried to do the "reset" method found online, but that requires the thing to actually close to perform... no luck. I am stuck with a car I can't drive since it's WINTER and the sunroof won't close.
I've turned the car off and on several times, attempted every way I could think of (short of trying to force the thing closed myself so I don't have any way that Hyundai could claim this was my fault). Taking it to the dealership this weekend. BS!
