CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2016 Tucson comes with a dual-clutch, 7-speed transmission. But Hyundai forgot to tell you about one key phrase – zero-move. That's right, an alarming number of owners have said their SUV wouldn't accelerate after a stop.
Turns out that's because the transmission's application logic has been stumbling all over itself. Hyundai recalled the issue in September 2016, but it's difficult to say if owners are out-of-the-woods, or if this is just a sign of things to come.

When I unlock my 2016 Hyundai Tucson, either with the remote key or the inside door lock, the passenger side rear door will not open. Neither the inside nor the outside handle will open the door. It appears stuck. This is a definite safety issue and could be dangerous if the door is unable to be opened in an emergency.
I have been reading online and see many, many complaints about this issue. It absolutely appears to be a defect in the mechanism or actuator for the door. Quite a few people who have complained, have stated that once they got one door fixed, another door started doing the same thing. Most of the people that have had this repaired, have stated that they had to pay a ridiculous price to get this defect fixed. I am planning to take my vehicle to the dealer where it was purchased and hope to get this issue fixed, but from what I have read online, I am afraid that it will be very costly. If that becomes the case, I doubt I will ever purchase another Hyundai product in the future.
Prior to purchasing my 2016 Tucson, I owned three other Hyundai vehicles and never had any complaints or issues with any of them. I owned each previous vehicle for over five years and owned my last one for almost ten years. I am hoping that Hyundai does the right thing by adding the repair of this problem to be part of the recall program and fixing this defect for their loyal customers. If that becomes the case, I can once again purchase my next new vehicle from Hyundai.
