All vehicle lights come on dashboard and power steering shuts off when going through a rain puddle approx 3-4 inches deep. The vehicle will not turn and the wheel locks up. I've been to the dealership multiple times and they told me there's no solution to the problem and that they cannot fix an issue that does not exist. I feel very unsafe driving this vehicle when it rains and the fact that I just paid this vehicle off is making me re-consider it and purchase a new one. I have children and now that we're in hurricane season in South Florida I cannot drive while it''s raining on when it hot as hell outside. This is ridiculous Hyundai needs to do something because I'm sure I'm not the only one having this issue. I'm going to file a complaint with the attorney general because I paid 20,000 for this vehicle and I feel that someone should replace this vehicle or perform a recall to find out what's causing the issue.

All vehicle dummy lights come on dashboard and power steering shuts off when going through a rain puddle approx 3-4 inches deep. This happened on a turn at the end of my street where a 6-7ft deep ditch was full of water. I was advised by the dealership, they could not find anything wrong and that because the alternator belt got wet that the alternator shut off, therefore, the power steering momentarily shut off. They went further to tell me that they realize it is a little dis-settling, but that once the belt got dry enough the power steering would come back on. How nice, in the mean time how am I to know when the "momentary time frame" will hit, before I wind up ditch diving or after I make the turn and need to return home to change my undergarments.

I might add the vehicle only started this tantrum about 2 months ago, I have owned this vehicle for 32 months and have low mileage. If this is a "known issue" why hasn't the malfunction happened in the prior 30 months? I live in Florida and it is currently our "Hurricane Season". I am not very happy with the dealership's response. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle in the rain, which I stated to the dealership. I was told next time it rains to bring the vehicle in so they can check it again. HELLO, did they not listen to me when I told them I do not feel safe driving in the rain in this vehicle. Oh yeah, it is approx 22 miles to the dealership. Let me get this straight, I am to drive 22 miles, in the rain, stressed out because I do not feel safe and they expect me to be okay? I don't think so. I would really like to know who and where I can report the dealership. Thanks for allowing me this opportunity to get this off my mind.
