On a cold start up, I get this grinding sound when I press the clutch. I have to turn off and back on my car several times to get this sound to go away. Sometimes get the noise while driving slow in parking lots. Best way to describe it: turning you ignition key when the car is already on. Replaced the starter 2 times and still no luck. Been told it could be the throwout bearing in the clutch.
Update from Jul 24, 2017: Diagnosed the problem by turning the key to the "on" position, (without cranking) the car then started itself. This lead my suspicion to the ignition switch. The ignition switch was defective and would randomly cause my car to crank, usually at start up when I turned the key.
