The contact stated while driving at approxiatmately 40 mph another vehicle pulled out in front of her this resulted in a frontal impact crash. The vehicle was totaled. The driver's side air bag did not deploy. Injuries where sustained. Seat belts where in use. Contact was unaware of a recall on the airbags for this type of vehicle before the accident. The recall # is 02V290000.
The air bag warning light stays illuminated while driving. When this occurs the driver's side window is inoperative. Although the dealership has serviced the vehicle several times for this issue, the problem recurred.
