entire system completely dead, not even lights to start
I loved this car when I bought it new, even though the blue tooth system was defective and the radio had to be replaced, which took 4 months. That, I'll take up in another complaint. The most important flaw is that the entire system just went dead, no lights, no clicks, nothing. Even the key fob bail-out could not get it to turn over. After four, unbelievably inefficient and ineffective contacts with Hyundai Roadside "Assistance", the car had to be towed via flatbed to a dealership 90 miles away, leaving me with no vehicle for days. The dealership said that it was "the battery" (the car has four, of course) and they would jump it. My question, which was unanswerable by the dealership's service head, was HOW and WHY. They suggested that those things just happen, and they would jump it. But I drive the car nearly every day, many miles. Nothing should have "gone dead" as they suggested. When the tow truck driver picked it up this morning, he told me he has hauled dozens of the make and model of my car because of the same problem! Hyundai obviously has a problem which they need to address. And I truly believe that I should have been offered a loaner vehicle, as I am high and dry in the middle of the country, six miles to the nearest anything. Stay tuned to hear about Roadside "Assistance" and the Blue Tooth snafu.
