My car was only a few months old. I turned a corner to get on the expressway. As I turned, I heard/felt a loud bang occur on the steering column. Automatic steering was completely gone. Luckily there was a residential exit very close by and I was able to get my car there.
I had to have my vehicle towed to Hyundai for repairs. They had to replace the entire steering column. It was brand new and luckily under warranty and they paid for my rental car. Luckily it did not occur on the freeway or at a high speed. This was the 1st of 2 major, catastrophic failures in my car.
