Approximately 4 weeks ago my Sonata Hybrid first attempted to stall as I attempted to stop at a traffic light. A couple of days later it actually did stall as I was coming to a stop with the car still in drive. At approximate the same time I began getting messages when making an outbound call that my phone was not connected or disconnected on its own. A minute later when the person that I had called answered the call phone would connect.
The service tech could not get it to replicate the problem with additional phones and felt this was happening only with iphones. Although I have had the same phone since 2013 when I bought the car this is issue just started. And it happened once using bluelink. After putting 200 miles on the car they could not get it to stall again.
4 days later when attempting to start my car I had a battery discharge warning. I attempted to start it 5 times then had it towed to the dealer where it sat for the weekend and then started when they tried with no problem.
At this point I am waiting to hear from Hyundai regional office. I love my car and trust that Hyundai will find the problem before the electronics go out and I am a situation that might result in an accident. Although they say these issues are not related it is strange that it all started at the same time.
My 2013 brand new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid has never been able to understand my voice commands well. Ever since delivery, this has been an issue.I have now had over 8 brand new radios installed and a new microphone that had to be ordered from Korea. My car is still in the shop and after 11 days they still don't have any answers. I am asking for a new car under the California lemon law.
