After replacing my 2022 Sonata with a 2023 after (similar problem, cause unknown) A little over a month after Purchasing. I was on my way home, 20 miles out from work when suddenly on the highway in the far left lane doing 70mph the car stops accelerating while giving it gas. When it got to 36mph I found a shoulder big enough for me to safely pull over. I thought it was something like my old 2022 Sonata, that would re-start once turned off and on. HOWEVER, having a push start option now, the car turned over a couple times, but wouldn't stay on, until finally on my 3rd time attempting to turn it back on after letting it "rest" it wouldn't turn on, and the check engine light came on.

The Bluelink app alerted my husband (who was 20 miles away) that there was a WARNING problem with "Powertrain" and some code after it. We had to call the sh*t roadside assistance service included in our warranty that arrived to tow 3 hours later (I am grateful for the tow man and tipped him) and had it towed directly to the dealership. The next morning, when we arrived at the dealership, the mechanic came out and said he had "3 2023 Sonata's" sitting back there in Service with the SAME problem. It was a problem with the fuel not getting to the motor. Considering this is the second "lemon" we have purchased from this dealership, they said they are going to get us into a different car.

Our 2018 Sonata was great. It was bought used, but never had any problems. Whatever changes they decided to do with the newer ones, obviously isn't working. It has 4 fuel injectors, they replaced one, at this time, we are now going to drive our "potentially dangerous" vehicle until we find the time to spend a whole day getting another loan and paperwork done to get us out of this car and into something worth the same but NOT a Santa Fe or Sonata. Buying new cars isn't what it's cracked up to be.
