Category: Potential for fatality. Headlights on low beam have a blind spot approximately 30 feet in front of vehicle on drivers side that measures 5 to 10 feet wide by approximately 15 feet long. Secondary blind spot to right of first blind spot measures approximately 3 to 6 feet by approximately 15 feet. These blind spots blind the operator to oncoming and side traffic of both vehicles and pedestrians. Currently only fix is to drive with high beams, which violates law. No repair has been affected by Hyundai (No recall or TSB noted). Request all 2019 Sonata owners submit complaint to NHTSA to effect a mandatory recall so this hazardous condition will be resolved.
