HID Headlights are set too high and can't be adjusted. This was a problem from day one. Low beams were too high causing on coming traffic to be blinded by my low beams and flash their lights at me. High beams light up the tree tops. Great for lighting up overhead signs on the freeway but not much good at lighting up a dark country road. I complained to the Dealer for years about the problem and they said nothing can be done. Finally they adjusted the lights lower and now they did not light up the road. So I had them return lights to factory settings.
A few more years went by and I got a new service manager who took my problem seriously after looking at my repair record on headlight problems. He replaced both left and right Hid light assemblies which required taking off the front of the car. After the lights were replaced the low beam headlights are marginally acceptable, still to high but on coming traffic does not flash Me much anymore. High beams are a little better than when car was new but still far from acceptable light up the trees and overhead road signs with a little light going on the road ahead. I have given up on Hyundai doing anything about the problem.
Should have test driven the car at night on a long road trip in the country and city. Headlights have never been a issue in all my 60 years of driving. State of Texas no longer requires headlight alignment to be checked on their yearly vehicle inspection or this Hyundai would never pass.
