This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
While driving on the freeway at about 60mph, 100 degrees outside, A/C on low inside the car (no A/C vents in the rear of vehicle), I hear a loud pop. I thought a tire blew. I looked in the rear view mirror to see the back window shattered yet still in place as it's safety glass. With each bump in the road the glass began to fall into the car. My car has 5340 miles on it. I had no chips in the glass. This could have been a terrible situation had I had a rear facing baby seat in the car with an infant. Or rear passengers or been so startled by the situation it caused an accident. None of these things happened, fortunately.
