The contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, he saw smoke coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that upon taken the vehicle to the dealer for an oil change, the dealer diagnosed that oil was leaking from the head gasket and the fuel line had failed and needed to be replaced due to risk of a fire. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V312000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The contact was awaiting a callback from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.
