Car runs OK but Check engine light came on and OBD tester showed Camshaft Position sensor problem which is called a PERMANENT Code. I changed both Camshaft sensors and reset the Check engine light. I started the car and drove about 10 minutes and Check engine light came back on. OBD tester showed the same problem. I reset the light again but the light came back on again. Apparently according to UTUBE vidieos an OBD Permanent code can not be removed with an OBD tester. The car has to go through a drive cycle and the ODM computer on the car is suppose to figure out the problem has been fixed and the light will go out. Well it has been two months and at lest 300 mile and the light is still on and the car is still running just fine. The problem is that the car will not pass the state inspection when the check engine light is on even though nothing appears to be wrong. Does anyone have any idea on what to do next to get the light to turn off?
