Driving about 40 mph, no one in front of me, nothing overhead, no overpass anywhere close to me. Glass sunroof exploded! I haven't opened it or used it in several weeks, and it was scary! Now what? I wonder if this is defective glass. I've never heard of anything like this happening. It's the panoramic 3-part glass sunroof on the Hyundai Sonata.
CAR WAS PARKED IN AN OPEN LOT NOTHING AROUND AND GLASS SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED! POLICE REPORT FILED AND WE TOOK CAR TO DEALER WHERE THEY TRIED TO GET ME TO TRADE IN ON A NEW MODEL. WE SAID NO AND THEY MADE US WAIT OVER AN HOUR BEFORE THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT UNDER THE WARRANTY! WE LEFT THE CAR THERE AND FILED A COMPLAINT WITH HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA! THE DEALER LANGDALE HYUNDAI OF VALDOSTA GA. CALLED US TODAY AND SAID THE DISTRICT REP RICKY GARDNER SAID THEY WILL NOT REPAIR IT UNDER THE WARRANTY! THIS IS OUR ONLY VEHICLE AND THE DEALER LANGDALE HYUNDAI WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE US A RIDE!
WE ARE A COUPLE IN OUR 80'S AND THIS IS SIMPLY NOT RIGHT!
