This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. While driving various speeds at night, the external and instrument panel lighting flickered randomly. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (southtowne Hyundai, 7665 ga-85, riverdale, ga 30274). The contact was informed that if the failure could not be repeated, the failure could not be determined. On a separate occasion, the lighting failed independently and the engine began to lose power without warning. The contact stated that the failure began after having the vehicle repaired per tsb:10110926 (steering). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the tsb was not related to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
