The engine went out on this car, and I spent 5 months in a rental because engines were back ordered. Then something else goes out, they fix it. Then the fuel pump. They won’t fix it, says it’s not the part of the engine they replaced. On some Sonatas, the fuel pump is less than $100. Mine can ONLY be bought from a Hyundai dealership and it is over $500!! Just for the part. Not including labor. Final cost $800.
And now I see this is a frequent occurrence. After that, less than a week later the fuel regulator goes out and yes that part can only be bought from Hyundai for another $675! This is robbery at its best, folks. How can one fuel pump be bought from any parts place in the country for less than $100, while Hyundai is ALLOWED to rob people to pay $500 for the other? This is my 4th Hyundai and my last, I have been treated horribly trying to get this car drivable!
