Engine surged while parking, car went up over a high curb and did considerable damage to front end. Just got it in the shop so don't know the cost yet. The problem should be covered under the standard warranty. The incident only happened today, so I haven't had time to contact Hyundai yet.

Sonata LX V4

I was backing up in order to get out of my parking space. I had my foot on the brake and the car was in reverse.

All of a sudden, the car took off with incredible speed, made a semi-circle and I hit another car. I did not put my

foot on the gas pedal. It was on the brake the entire time. I drove the car to the Hyundai dealership and they

were not able or willing to provide me with any assistance relating to this issue. I plan on contacting corporate

Hyundai on the 22nd looking for some satisfaction.
