My recent (32K miles) 2012 Sonata A/C stopped working, AC condenser poor quality and design. Took the car to Hyundai dealership@ Henderson, NV. It's so hot in Vegas, it's impossible to take the baby in the car. Service Adviser called me next day to tell me that a rock or debris may have hit the A/C condenser and put a hole in it, will cost me 800-1000$ for the repair since this is not covered by warranty. It's lot of money Hyundai asks customers to pay with bad quality parts and bad design. I am pretty sure other Hyundai owners would had this issue too.
I raised the corporate dispute for covering it under warrant. That's the only car in the family and stuck with the dealer. So far I have been fighting tooth and nail over this with everyone around me. No luck so far.
Any effort to get this complaint reached to Hyundai Corporate and other Sonata users and prevent similar incidents would be greatly appreciated.
I don't appreciate the way the dealer took me for granted and rub it on me for NO mistake of mine. I always maintained my car nicely and drove safely. Note: I put all my heart and money into buying this 2012 Hyundai Sonata and trusting Hyundai brand instead of Honda. I am beginning to regret it now.
