Even after "rebooting" the car, it is still telling me that I have low tire pressure! What the heck?? I went to the gas station and verified they were all in spec- they were. Still the light persisted. I filled up the tires to 36 lbs and then the light finally went out. I set the tires back to the correct pressure. Definitely a bug!
Just to report an issue that I have not had recently, but did have when I first got my car... When I first got my Sonata, the tire pressure light was on CONSTANTLY for about the first year and a half. No matter what I did, it would always come back on. Then one day it just stopped, and hasn't happened since.
Low tire pressure light comes on frequently. I can say honestly that I've filled the tires with air at least 10 times for the 6,000+ miles I've put on it. I've had it back to the dealership three times and they say it is common for these tires with the green stems( saying these were mandated by the Fed. Gov. in 2008 for all models???) They check for leaks, nails, punctures in the tires and come up with nothing. Their explanation is that when the temps drop it affects the pressure. Well, can all cars manufactured since 2008 be experiencing the same thing? I think not. I live in FL and we really don't have THAT much fluctuation in the air temps. It seems that I fill up with air in the tires more that I do with gas. It is unnerving to get into the car in the morning and have that light come on and need to get somewhere other that the dealer or find an air pump. What can I do??
