I was coming to a stop at a very busy intersection (1/29/2015), I lost control of the car in Drive mode. It's an automatic and by the grace of God (literally), the 4 cars that should/could have hit me did not. I restarted the car and went 30 feet, it happened again. I then remembered I had Sport Mode and the car drives in all 5 gears fine in Sport Mode. Third sometimes lags, but manageable.
Until I lost all power (Dealership still trying to find out why) and well, instead of turning left onto the main road (4/22/2015) I went straight into some small trees. No additional outside damage, but my Tie Rods are destroyed and my power steering is leaking. I was barely going fast enough (hence no airbag deployment). This car has over 165k on it, but the last 3 months have been issue after issue. My husband is a mechanic and his co worker worked for Hyundai for 12 years and they can't figure out the problem except to call my car "unsafe". Well that's not good enough to the insurance company so I am stuck paying the remainder of my loan on a vehicle that won't stay running.
