The starter on any car since it is attached to the Engine Block of the car takes a fair amount of heat .
Therefore NO car company should put a PLASTIC Bendix fork in it .
This is a cheap lousy thing to put in a critical place.
All bendix forks used to be Metal because of the stress and heat they take.
You can buy a kit to replae the fork But again its plastic.
At least it is cheap if you can pull the starter yourself open it up and replace the part inside the starter.
