My car started overheating, so I took it into the repair shop. They said I had a thermostat that was stuck open and replaced it. After that, my check engine light keeps coming on, even though it no longer overheats. I've had the thermostat replaced several times, fortunately free of charge because they thought it was a faulty thermostat. Still the light keeps coming on. Apparently it was a censor that faulted. I paid $300 for the thermostat. Will cost me another $200+ to get the wiring and censor fixed. Figured I could live with the light if that's all it was. Got the thermostat fixed, but not the light.
