The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. While driving 56 mph, there was an extremely loud noise coming from the roof of the vehicle. The contact noticed that the sun roof shattered. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,351.
On April 13th, the weather was warm in the middle of the afternoon. I opened up my sunroof with intent to open it only partially. I have tried unsuccessfully to close my sunroof now. The mechanism that slides shut, does not work properly anymore. When the roof gets to the point of closing, it automatically goes back. I had to inch the sunroof closed as far as possible. I had to place plastic in the connection area to keep as much rain and wind out.
