I was driving in West Texas in the middle of nowhere with no other vehicles anywhere nearby. I heard an enormous explosive sound and realized my sunroof glass had burst into thousands of pieces. Luckily, I had the plastic cover closed or I would have been covered in broken glass. I seriously thought someone had shot my car. No one at Hyundai or anywhere else can answer why this happened. The Hyundai dealership in Amarillo informed me that the warranty that would cover the broken glass was expired. I ended up paying cash (>$800 ) to have it repaired.
