The ESC warning light was illuminated. The contact deactivated the traction control to prevent the failure from recurring. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and sent the contact a gift card for a diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 175,000.
