The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the vehicle stalled twice. The vehicle was merged to the shoulder with the engine off for approximately 35 minutes before it was able to be restarted. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who inspected and test drove the vehicle but could not locate the problem. The manufacturer was notified and a claim was filed. The manufacturer advised that a representative would be calling within 24 hours. The failure mileage was 18,941.
The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. While driving approximately 5 mph he heard a squealing noise in the front of the vehicle. The failure had been on going since 2009. The contact stated that the failure only happened when it was turned on for the first time each day and then began to function normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who test drove the vehicle and was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 20,000.
New car was delivered to me with a major engine oil leak. Could have resulted in engine failure and loss of control of car. Car has been in dealers garage for 10 days with no repair yet made.
