I have researched internet there are many similar complaints varying in year for the Hyundai Sonata. My is a 2007 The problem is random no starting engagement. All engine lights work on panel but no engaging of the starter. My local Hyundai dealer acts like he's never heard of my problem and wants a video which is impossible to capture as I am busy trying to get my car started on a stranded road and then if i keep trying it will start but do it again at another random time. He said they cant fix if i cant prove it is broken. So he said just come in and well just start by replacing the starter ignition. Some of the various solutions are the loose wire by the solenoid which is a simple fix but dealers are charging the customer to replace the starter. Other solutions was putting the car in neutral and keep tryin to start, or holding foot on brake, replacing battery in the key battery. Something needs to be done......such as a RECALL......this is not an isolated problem ......I will not buy another Hyundai again, but I need to get this one fixed so I can get rid of it. Please somebody help
