I have researched internet there are many similar complaints varying in year for the Hyundai Sonata. My is a 2007 The problem is random no starting engagement. All engine lights work on panel but no engaging of the starter. My local Hyundai dealer acts like he's never heard of my problem and wants a video which is impossible to capture as I am busy trying to get my car started on a stranded road and then if i keep trying it will start but do it again at another random time. He said they cant fix if i cant prove it is broken. So he said just come in and well just start by replacing the starter ignition. Some of the various solutions are the loose wire by the solenoid which is a simple fix but dealers are charging the customer to replace the starter. Other solutions was putting the car in neutral and keep tryin to start, or holding foot on brake, replacing battery in the key battery. Something needs to be done......such as a RECALL......this is not an isolated problem ......I will not buy another Hyundai again, but I need to get this one fixed so I can get rid of it. Please somebody help

car won't turn over, lights and everything comes on. tested

Over the past 4-5 months been having trouble starting the car, lights and all come on. Some days it would start other days it wouldn't, then weeks it would start then weeks it wouldn't. Went out on Feb 2nd again, had battery tested and its good, replaced the neutral safety switch and also the ignition switch, it did finally start only to sit overnight and not start again..the same sh*t over again! Also had problems with driver side window not working, took into dealership to have fix...15 minute job and $250 later it works again only for a month later for it to happen on the passenger side now, same sh*t. Also always replacing the bulbs in the headlights and tail lights and etc. it's all crazy! Doubt very seriously I would recommend these cars to anyone nor purchase another!
