This is related to previous gripes about engine vibration. While trying to track down the source of an engine vibration, it was discovered by a resourceful mechanic, the axles on this car were the wrong ones. This vehicle has a manual transmission and is NOT ABS. Seems there are ABS axles and non-ABS axles. The right axle was also too long. It had torn an oil seal.
Had the car hit a pothole on a sharp turn it would have rammed into the transmission damaging it and possibly the engine. This car was purchased used. Somebody in the past made a bad decision to get it back on the road with the wrong parts.
