We have a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. On our way to a doctor appointment on April 20, 2018 in Tacoma, WA. Tacoma has some significant hills. We came to a red stop light and stopped on the the hill. When the light turned green, I moved my foot from the brake to the gas and the car when backwards!!! Thank goodness no one was behind us! This is a safety issue! When it happened, there were many doctor appointments and personal issues going on so we didn't have time to deal with it at the time. It happened again on July 21, 2018 but I can only put one incident at a time! This is a safety issue!! When we took it to the Puyallup Hyundai on October 4, 2018 and was told they couldn't recreate the problem, so it can't be fixed. They didn't offer to do a drive with us, just checked the computer! Really? So here we are with a car we don't trust!! If we wanted a manual transmission car, where you have to be aware of going backwards on a hill we would have bought one!
