On 12/1/22 my Hyundai Santa Fe started to smoke a little on the hood, followed by a burning smell, and the dashboard with all the lights blinking. I immediately called an electrician to come to the site and tell me what the problem was. After a general analysis of the car, it was found that the ABS module was short circuited, and that this problem was already expected by Hyundai and with that it was calling the owners for the Recall. I tried to schedule an emergency recall but to no avail, having to wait a few days to take the car to them. On the scheduled day, I took the car to King Hyundai in Deerfield Beach FL where they didn't even look at the car, they just told me that I would have to wait for the contact because they wouldn't have a part to fix.
I waited more than a week and after several calls they called me to take the car again. I left the car again but after only an hour they told me I could pick it up. To my surprise, they didn't even check the burnt ABS module, they just changed some fuses, and after my questioning about checking the ABS module short circuit, they said I would have to pay to do this check. A total disrespect, as I showed them the section described on Hyundai's own website where it describes checking the ABS Module and replacing it in the event of a defect. I've had the car for almost a month without being able to use it, because with the ABS module burned it totally compromises my safety and that of my family and I don't receive any assistance from Hyundai to solve my case.
