The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe sport. The contact stated that the rear passenger door did not lock automatically. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (pohanka Hyundai, 1770 ritchie station ct, capitol heights, md 20790, 301-899-0480), where the technician was unable to unlock the door and recommended that the door needed to be rebuilt. The technician further stated that the failure was not covered by the warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.
We received a letter from Hyundai stating that the vehicle was subject to recall campaign 17V-358. The letter included a link to a website to make a service appointment. We selected a dealer from the link and attempted to make the service appointment. The dealers name is abc Hyundai in las vegas, Nevada. The web site fraudulently would not allow us to make the service appointment unless we also purchased maintenance services.
