I took the car to Hyundai Myrtle Beach, S.C. for a recall 2/5/21 and the service engine soon light was on. They fixed that issue and told me the cabin filters needed to be replaced and they replaced those. When I got close to home I noticed 4 more lights were on (Skid Control, Downhill, Emerg. Brake light and Car approaching light). I called the next day and asked them why they sent me up the road with all these issues and they told me of the dangers and I needed to bring the car back. I made an appointment for 2/17/21.
On February 11th I came down with Covid that lasted 6 weeks. When I recovered March 5th I called and made another appointment I couldn't get until May 5th. When I called I wanted to make sure they accepted Car Shield and they assured me they did. Today (May 5th) I went back and after I sat there for an hour and a half they told me other things were wrong and I said I needed to make sure Car Shield would cover the added issues. The tech told me they did not use car shield now. I got Car Shield on the phone and they spoke to the Tech and he again told them the reason they don't use Car Shield.
According to the techs at Hyundai told me this vehicle was not safe to drive that it could catch on fire at any moment and if it was raining I could spin out of control. They told me this when I called back on Feb. 6. The Tech would not give me a copy of what needed to be replaced so I could go to someone who does accept Car Shield. Would not give me his name. I will never go to Myrtle Beach Hyundai and I won't own another Hyundai. This man was very rude to me and I was the one waisting my 5 hours and gas.
