A couple of years ago the dealer told me that the struts had to be replaced. He mentioned that Hyundai struts were very expensive and suggested that I have the out of market struts as a replacement. The car has never rode the same. The front end feels like it is falling apart, yet they claim they can find nothing wrong. Then a couple of months ago the A/C stopped working for a couple of days, and then suddenly it was back for a week. Each time I took it to the dealer the A/C was working so they could not find the problem.
One day it was not working and I got it to the dealer. They saw the problem but had no idea what was the cause. They had to contact Hyundai support for advice. It seems that a wire was loose/broken to the "harness". The solution, according to the tech, was to replace the entire harness as they could not replace the wire at fault. Cost of the harness would be a staggering $3400, plus labor! How can a car be built where the entire assembly must be replaced because of one wire???? Needless to say I will not pay for such a repair. Needless to say my next car will not be a Hyundai. I am 79 years old and have never had an issue with the A/C of any of my cars.
