I purchased a brand new 2024 santa fe xrt back in March of 2024. And around December my front end started shaking and I had bad vibrations in my front in when I was finally able to get it into the hyundai dealership in January they told me it was my front 2 rotors where warped my vehicle only has 13k miles and shouldn't have rotor issuses. Even though it was covered under warranty all the dealership did was resurface the rotors and said the vibration is gone. They also said if it does it again just to bring it back but a new vehicle shouldn't have warped rotor issues with less than 15k miles.
The driver assist warning/dinging coffee cup is a distraction while driving. It can ding up to every 4 minutes. This is a feature that should be able to be turned off.
Traveling back from Aurora Co to Iowa the Heating stopped working in three hours of our trip. A code came up and the Heating shut down. Which allowed the windshield to be frozen over while I was driving. Rain freezing to the windshield. Had to stop frequently because of code P007100. Hyundai relies on an ambient temperature sensor for heating within the vehicle. It froze over while Hyundai relies on an ambient temperature sensor for heating within the vehicle. It froze over while I was driving was driving. Other cars were driving just fine because they didn-??t have heat within their car. So Hyundai needs to have a special recall on this for a safety concern and cold weather.
I had my vehicle serviced at Hyundai of Kirkland, located at 11800 124th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98034, on December 19th, 2024. During the service, the dealership did not inform me of any active recalls on my vehicle, nor did they address any recall-related issues. I believe it is their responsibility to notify customers of recalls and ensure proper servicing as required.
If am wearing my sunglasses or I am holding the steering wheel in a certain way my car will assume I am not looking at the road and turn off my cruise control. If I do not take my sunglasses off right away or move my arm my car starts breaking and alerts me to take control of me vehicle. My driver Attention setting is off. I have almost been rear ended twice because of this. Hyundai has acknowledged that is this a serious design flaw and a safety concern but has no solution

After car is idle, when pressing the gas, the car instantly stops as if you have slammed on the break, feeling like you have driven into a brick wall. The intensity of the stop causes you to jerk aggressively in your seat. This has happened on more than one occasion. Without a seatbelt it would cause injury as well as the possibility of causing an accident with other vehicles. When this happens, there were no warning lights or messages shown to indicate an issue. The vehicle is currently at the dealership as of 9/20/2024, they are trying to replicate the issue however it has been more than 2 weeks, and they have not found a resolution. They have run diagnostics tests and there was nothing that indicated the issue with the vehicle. As of today, 10/9/2024, the issue has not been resolved and the vehicle remains in the dealers possession.
I bought my car in 2024 and my monitor keeps glitching out. One month into buying the car, the monitor began glitching out, affecting my gps.These problems began in March. I took it to service in May, and they said they had it fixed. However, after a little bit, the same monitor problems came back. There were multiple times where my monitor went completely blank when I was driving far, leaving me shocked and scared. The monitor also went completely blank when I was reversing, almost leading to an accident because of this car's failure. I contacted service again, and they said that I would have to wait a month for the car to be looked at. But I don't want to wait this long, because I am not comfortable with this car anymore and am scared that something might happen because of the monitor glitches.
If I wear dark sunglasses, the forward collision avoidance turns off while using cruise control. If I wear lighter sunglasses, it is fine. Unfortunately, I have to wear darker sunglasses due to previous eye surgery. I am unable to utilize cruise control without compromise to my eyes because forward collision avoidance doesn-??t work with darker glasses. This happens every time I test it and change sunglasses with differing shades of protection.
On July 3, 2024 the vehicle was parked on my driveway. My driveway is very steep, the sun was out and it was windy. I opened the car and got in, the wind caught the door and it slammed shut. The back window shattered and many small glass particles were on ground behind the car and on the backs of the second and third row seats that were down. If someone had been sitting in the third row seat they would have been cover in glass. The dealer said that this could not have happened as described, but it did, and that I should repair the window my self. The glass is only 1/8 inch thick and I asked the glass company if they could get a thicker pane, none is available. I believe the manufacturer should recall and replace the back window with a stronger pane. Pictures and repair invoice to be mailed.
Purchased this car new from Crain Hyundai, Conway AR, on 4/1/2024. On 4/3 we called dealer because Bluelink reported 13 maintenance critical issues needed immediate service. Took the vehicle to dealer on 4/4. They worked on vehicle, said they fixed issue and notices would disappear over night. Issues did not, so 4/5 dealer had vehicle picked up, loaner left, and they would fix in 2 days. Issues still not fixed on 4/8. They have no idea how to fix and they want us to accept vehicle as-is. Was told this morning by dealer staff that there has been multiple occurrence of this issue and not fixed.
