Was driving on the highway while it was in cruise control and on several occasions when trying to accelerate the vehicle would jerk aggressively and struggle to accelerate. It did this about 3 times on my way to my destination. Took it in and they said they couldn-??t find anything wrong with it nor could they replicate the issue. No work was on done on it.

On Monday nite returning Tuesday Morning I was coming home from work and I noticed my engine light is on and car is not running properly. I had to drive slower than normal at 12:30 AM I can usually drive the expressway but I am glad I didn-??t.I live in Detroit Mi My employer which is Amazon is located in Romulus Michigan so I took [XXX] to [XXX] that when I notice my automobile was not driving as usual so I pull over and I notice my check engine light was on so I restarted my car several and it still was on so I Prayed and drove slow all the way home Thank God I made safely my auto have 7100 miles on it I had one oil change the next one is due at 10,000 miles. So the next morning I was at dealership when it opened and met with the manager at Lafountain Hyundai on Telegraph in Dearborn Mi He tried to diagnose my car and showed but it didn-??t work so he told me to take it to Lafountain Dealership in Livonia I arrived and they told me their were backed for three weeks And couldn-??t get a appt and when I do I will have to leave like everyone else and I saw all those cars mine just sitting so I ask the reception and she had no answer after I explain so I tried Hyundai Corporate office no answer so I been read all the trouble shooting information but that wouldn-??t help because is slipping so I came home and back on the internet and began reading other comment. I can-??t leave my car I need to go to work how am going there buses do run out there and I don-??t have any other Transportation so my car will just until someone helps me Thank you for excepting my complaint please help me I am losing money how can I pay for my car with no money. I filled up my gas tank and the digital guage was on 266 miles. After I filled up, it was the exact same mileage on the dashboard. It did not move after putting in about 4-5 gallons of gas.

Loss of acceleration while driving. This has occurred multiple times (always while moving or actively driving). The first time we were driving up a significant hill and the car slowed, lost power and we had to pull over and coast back down the mountain to a repair center. The second time, I was on the freeway and lost acceleration causing me to pull off the road in median. The third time, I was at a stoplight and when the light turned green, I had almost no movement after edging into the intersection. Eventually, at about 5 mph, the car regained speed. The check light went on in the first event and the car was supposedly repaired at the second dealership by re-tensioning "pins". However, no lights or warnings went on for incident #2 or #3 that occurred after the earlier repair effort. The vehicle is currently at the dealership service center for it's 7th day of "unable to replicate the problem" after incident #3.

[XXX] Driving down road car began shaking, driving rough and wouldn't pick up speed. Check engine light came on with code P030400/POWERTRAIN/EMS/Odometer 46,056. Car towed to Hyundai in Gainesville, GA. Tech found Cylinder 4 misfire and Cylinder 4 was replaced. [XXX] Driving down Highway and car began shaking, driving rough and wouldn't pick up speed, again. Check engine light with code P030300/POWERTRAIN/EMS/Odometer 47,176. Car driven to Hyundai in Gainesville, GA. Tech found Cylinder 3 misfire and Cylinder 3 was replaced. [XXX] Driving down highway and check engine light came on. Car was running okay. Code P219CFO/POWERTRAIN/EMS/Odometer 47,315. Car was driven to Hyundai in Gainesville, GA for diagnosis. Tech found Cylinder 1 Air-fuel ration imbalance, [XXX] internal GDI injector leakage and parts were ordered. Replaced 2 fuel injectors, high pressure fuel pipe and 2 rail bolts. The car has been taken to the dealer multiple times for not accelerating out of 1st gear when starting up, and also for shuddering at high speeds. We have been stranded, hundreds of miles from home on 2 occasions, first with less than 30,000 miles because the spark plugs needed to be replaced. And the second occasion, also hundreds of miles from home, because the car failed on the highway and limped into a dealership, where one of the fuel injectors was replaced at approx 50,000 miles. The mechanic at this dealership voiced his concerns that these were the original fuel injectors, He said he was aware of the problem, but was only permitted to replace one of the fuel injectors. The car continues to shudder at occasionally, and refuses to shift out of 1st gear at odd times. We have tried to get Hyundai to replace the fuel injectors, but they refuse. I would like this to be serve as a record of our problems so that others can be aware of a problem that exists with these cars. This is a safety issue, as if the car will not accelerate on a highway or crossing a road, it is possible to have an accident. Also, having the car fail on a remote highway is also a safety issue.

While Driving home from work, the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Vehicle's, Hybrid battery began to discharge rapidly, the Gasoline Engine did not start to charge the system, within 1/4 mile the Hybrid Battery fully discharged, and the Vehicle lost all acceleration, the Dash warning " CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM, STOP SAFELY " came on along with a loud audible warning beeping. I pulled off the road as soon as possiable. The Vehicle would not accelerate, and the gasoline engine part would not start. Several other warning lights illuminated, including the 12V battery low warning. I turned the Santa Fe off, and called Hyundai Roadside Assistance. While on the Phone with the assistant, as it was Night time, I couldn't see to check the VIN number for her I turned on the interior lights, then continued talking to the assistant. I attempted to restart the Vehicle, and it started the Gasoline Engine this time, we talked, and she suggested I see if the Hybrid Battery would now charge it's self, which it very slowly did up to 1/8 full, then I attempted to move the Vehicle to a safer location, a Gas station parking lot. I was able to drive the short 1/4 mile to the parking lot, but the vehicle had very little acceleration. Almost no power! At the parking lot I attempted to rev the engine to get more power to the Hybrid Battery, while waiting for a Tow Truck.

Ref NHTSA TRACKING # 11557625 Vehicle broke down again within 5K miles and 45 days of prior repair referenced in above case. Similar conditions, highway speed, bucking and vibrating, loss of speed control, no warning. Subsequent repair confirmed same issue (fuel injector) as original breakdown/repair and my initial notification to NHTSA.

Vehicle began to shake, buck and emit a grinding noise while traveling on highway resulting in loss of speed control and associated fear. Check engine light appeared simultaneously. No prior indication of a problem. Managed to limp to next exit via shoulder. Had car towed to dealer as warranty was still in effect. Problem was diagnosed as fuel injector failure and repaired. Learned it is a common, recurring issue with Hyundai 4 cylinder engine. Not unusual to have multiple failures per vehicle. Hyundai is only authorizing repair/replacement upon individual failures, not pre-emptive even though common and recurring. Confirmed this is a common, recurring issue across Hyundai via our local mechanic and internet info. Vehicle has now experienced a second failure and is being towed to dealer.

Vehicle check engine light came On while driving and vehicle began misfiring. Vehicle was in the shop and injector was found defective. Vehicle again had same issue but intermittently and wife would have to pull over and shut down the car to be able to drive it safely home. Dealership tried blaming bad gas which was purchased a mile from dealership. Within 50 miles vehicle began acting the exact same way and Hyundai dealership says injector needs replaced but blaming contamination not a known issue Hyundai has with injectors. Found multiple instances of same issue and same made up issue of contaminated gasoline even at the same dealership I went to. Faulty injectors make the vehicle unsafe when traveling at highway speeds on busy highways.

I was idling for 15 minutes and then drove for 10 minutes at which time the Check Hybrid System Stop Safely alert showed on my dashboard with the red light. I was on a bridge and could not stop in the middle, this was very terrifying and dangerous as I was loosing acceleration and speed and it felt like the car was about to totally turn off, i was losing control, I was pressing on the brake and i felt it was not braking at which I point luckily I was at the end of the bridge and pulled aside, and turned it off. I waited 15 minutes before turning it back on and drove it back home. As I was driving it I can see the battery level rising. I plugged the charger that night to charge it and it started charging but then suddenly stopped and would not charge. Since then I tried charging it again and it charges for an hour and stops. I took it the dealer at the earliest appointment I can get and they ran diagnostics and no code came up. They said that it had to do with the coolant and they put in a new coolant and that should hopefully solve the charging issue. I tried again to charge it at home and again it charged for an hour and then it stopped and will not charge again. I am scared to drive it far now and especially on brides.

2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. This incident has occurred twice at the time of this write up. Both incidents have happened on the first start up of the vehicle engine for the day in the early morning (on the way to work). The temperature outside was cool (10-35 degrees, Maine). On at least one occasion it had rained during the night before using the vehicle. It may have been damp on the other occasion as well. After about 3 miles of driving the vehicle it completely loses power. No amount of movement to the accelerator changes the sudden loss of all power. This is a hybrid and the battery gauge below charge/economy/power rpm area of the vehicle starts to completely and instantaneously drain to what would be zero had I not been able to pull the vehicle over and turn the vehicle off. At this point, on both occasions, leaving the vehicle turned off for a minute and then restarting the vehicle seems to alleviate the problem. The incidents have occurred about 2 months apart and since the vehicle turned 20,000 miles. I also feel like it takes more push on the accelerator to get the same response that I got on day 1 when I drove it off of the lot at the dealership. I also notice that the EV indicator light does not come on as frequently as it used to. It would always come on when coasting - and now sometimes it does not.

I have experienced power loss soon after I bought the car in Dec 2021. While I was driving the car was going in a constant speed of 20 to 30 mph. However hard I pressed the gas, car felt not responsive. Reported this to the service center and was advised that this may be since car is learning my driving habit. Later in december 2022, received a recall 236 letter from hyundai which was mentioning an issue similar to the one I experienced. Took the car for recall and informed me that the software upgrade is done as per manufacturer recommendations. Now on March 28th 2023 while I took the car out in the morning, there was more smoke than usual. And the same issue happened again. The car was not going beyond 20 to 30 mph for around 6 miles. Reported the same to the nearest service center and booked an appointment after 2 weeks. Also sent a complaint to hyundai motors directly

We have had already had two issues with our Hyundai Santa Fe that we purchased new from a dealer on 5/21.The first malfunction happened on 7/23. While driving, we had several messages come across the dashboard warning that some sensors were not working properly. We then had the warning light, front collision light, the traction control light, the abs light, the auto hold and the emergency brake all light on the dash. We also lost the blind spot sensor on the side mirrors. Called the dealer and took the car in. Two days later was told it was a wheel sensor and all should be good. Then on 8/31, while merging onto a highway, I pressed the accelerator and although the engine revved, the car did not increase in speed. Luckily the car behind me was able to swing around me and I put on my hazards and pulled to side of the road. I turned the car off, restarted it and pulled out. Five miles down the road, while in traffic, the same issue occurred, but after about thirty seconds or so, the car jerked and picked up speed, Back to the dealer it goes and they called to tell me that they cannot replicate it and there are no diagnostic codes showing. They are going to keep it for a few more days to do some more diagnostic testing, but don't know what the issue is. This is a brand new car -

New vehicle purchased 10/15/21 form Lester Glen Hyundai in Toms River NJ. After two weeks and 1100 miles car started leaking gasoline on garage floor, street and driveway at rate of approx one drop every two seconds. Called closest Hyundai dealer (Burns Hyundai), both dealerships said appointments were three weeks out, scheduled on 12/1 with Burns. Stated this was a hazerdous waste spill and extremem safety hazzard but dealers made no other offer of help. Before filing complaint called Hyundai corp and they told me they would escalate but would take 7 days to get back to me (Hyundai complaint #189991007). no one has called me. In last effort LM with president of Lester Glenn 11/18 at 3:20pm asking to call back and resolve so I would not have to file complaint, nobody called me as of 11/19 at 1pm. Leaking appears to be coming from a While plastic block at the rear of the gas tank.
