We have a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE LWB model with the 6 cyl. We have repeatedly had problems with this car as far as the transmission clunking and slipping. The same problem most have reported. Backing out of space and the feeling was of being hit or going over a hard bump. Then I was trying to drive forward and the car giving me the feeling of slipping or of being rear ended. We have had this problem at least 3 or 4 times in the short 2 year period we have had the car. I have had it to 2 different dealerships which never find a code or are able to duplicate the problem.
My feeling is it is something ECU or electrical related possibly, as once the issue happens and the car is shut off and then turned on the problem seems to go away. Every time I have reported it to the dealer, they find nothing and can't duplicate it. Other than this problem the car is good. But this is growing more and more frustrating as we have no confidence in being able to take it on long trips. Just wish this problem would have a solution already.
C'mon Hyundai. Fix this!!!
