The contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated that after driving the vehicle at 55 mph, the vehicle was parked for a few hours. When the contact attempted to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start up. The contact lifted the hood of the vehicle and noticed that there were ashes on the battery. The contact also stated that he noticed melted wiring around the abs system. The contact had the vehicle taken to the dealer who stated that the abs system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 19,755.
