The ac has a mind of its own. If I turn it off, it will stay off for about 3 mins then turn its self back on. Since I live in Florida with the heat in the summer and cold in the winter, I guess I will have to keep it on always.
I am sitting down driving the car, and all of sudden the AC turns on on its own. The knob/dial is all the way down and I swear I didn't touch the damn thing. Okay, so I will try to turn it off and place my finger on the button and push it down as many times as I want to, but can't deactivate it. Worse, it some times goes to the maximum capacity on its own.
This started two years ago, and I took it back to the dealer, and they replace the panel (under warranty). Even after this, I will see the panel turned itself on once every 2 to 3 months and it will go away. The problem is back to what it was starting from the June of this year and is absolutely impossible to control it now.
I did speak with both the dealer and Hyundai Canada. They both said "sorry, the car is out of warranty now. I am saying this is not a new problem. It is one that was reported while the car was still under warranty and neither the parts nor the service provided then did not solve the problem. To all the Santa Fe owners out there, did you any one of you experience this problem with your vehicle and if so what advice would you offer me?
