I have a 2008 Santa Fe Limited with 109,000 miles. Bought preowned 5 months ago with a complete service record. The car has had no issues whatsoever until this past weekend I was coming up to a stop sign on a slight bend and lost power steering and realized all the lights on dash were lit and that my car suddenly just shut off on me. It started right back up and I continued on my way to my sporting event. Later that day I went to leave and when I tried starting the car the engine made a loud clunk sound and car shook for a second. I decided to drive my trusty 2001 Subaru than because was not sure what would happen, being a Sunday afternoon I might not find an open service shop if I needed it. I have had no other stalls since but has only been 3 days since first scenerio. I called Hyundai and gave them my information and problem. Looks like recalls for this were only for 2010-2012 model years. Come on Hyundai, I am seeing many complaints with same issues on older years. Please do something about it before one of us gets killed!
