End of October was driving approximately 50 miles an hour and suddenly the car jerked and acted as if brakes were on, when I did not do anything. ABS lights came on, smell of rubber and I pulled over, looked and the back discs were tight, smoking and rubber. Two months prior had all new brakes and rotors put on the front, and pads/brakes on the back at a Certified Hyundai dealer. Six months prior had all new Tiger All Weather tires on. The emergency brakes were not engaged, nothing to cause this. After waiting 10 minutes, calling family, they let go. I drove on and took it to get fixed. They could not replicate it, yet indicated I needed new pads and brakes again!
November 11, driving from work on the highway, and all four grabbed for no reason, and car immediately was down to nothing. Thank God no one was behind me and I was in the right lane. I was near a car place, worked it into their drive. The smoke, smell of burning rubber, metal was happening. The place got it in and up, worked to release them and after 30 minutes did by releasing the front passenger side. They called both of the places I have had the car in, all were stumped, yet agreed I could be killed driving it. So, today November 12, it was determined it was a major sensor and also resulted in brake repair...again!
For now, it is OK, yet cost a considerable amount of money for all these issues that continue to occur!
They took the information in the event I am killed on the road from all of this.
