My 2005 Santa Fe was running very roughly and kept dying. I had to restart it 8 times to drive the 2 blocks back to my house. After taking it in to the dealer, they called and asked me how deep of water I had driven in......None, I mean it was a rainy ---light rain all weekend, not crazy driving beating down kinda rain. I only drove the car one day on the weekend for about 2 hours. I had not driven in any puddles---not even an inch deep---let alone driven through standing water as they seemed to think I had. What they said was that water had been sucked into my air intake and my air filter weighed like 10 pounds, and had to be replaced and the air intake had to be cleaned and dried. OF COURSE it was NOT covered under my warranty.......but they acted like they were doing me a huge favor by "warranty-ing" some of the reapirs, so it only cost me 250........They said it should have been a $1000 repair.......I was not feeling very "lucky" when I left the dealership....Anyone have this same problem or know the cause ?

Thanks!
