Shorts in cruise control, seat warmer lights, transmission panel lights, security alarm. Off and on. Never bothered to fix any of these. More annoying than anything. Has >231K on it now. Other than that, pretty good SUV.

Santa Fe ES 2.7L

  • Automatic transmission

Over time, all electronics in the car go. Half of my windows don't work. My AC flickers on and off incredibly quickly no matter the setting. The passenger light doesn't work. Part of the dashboard doesn't light up. One of my fog lights keeps going out.

I have had electrical shorts in areas of the dash; ignition, power windows, lights, heater. The wiring harness in the door, going to the dash, had been messed with. This is causing the shorts, I believe. And the ignition would randomly work or not. Car would stall randomly also. If I jiggled the exposed wiring harness, some things might work. It has been a pain to find a used one, as the new ones seem to be upwards of 300.00. Splicing here I come?
