lift gate wiper wont turn off with switch
I took it to a shop to have the wiper problem diagnosed and was told that the wiper motor has "internal gear failure" I was assured that everything else (wiring, fuses, motor controller, and switch) were good and that a new motor would fix the problem. After I installed a new motor and it still didn't work I took the old motor apart and found the gears to be in good working order. I powered it up on the bench and it ran like it is supposed to. I next ordered a new motor controller and installed it and now It runs and won't shut off. I thought that surely a new switch would fix it but no. Now when I start the engine it starts running and the only way I can turn it off is to turn the ignition off or open the lift gate.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
